Virtual Performances
How To Purchase
Tickets are purchased as normal through our ticketing system, Tixhub.
Tickets may also be purchased by calling our box office at 250 562 0800, or visiting us at 2880 15th Ave.
A valid email address is required.
Please note: Each ticket supplies one access code per device.
What Happens After Purchase?
You will receive an order receipt by email. (If you do not receive an email, please check your junk/spam filter.)
The email will be from "Prince George Symphony Orchestra" and the subject will be "Order confirmation." Your tickets are in this email.
How do I view a performance?
In the order confirmation/receipt email, click “Print At Home” link. This will display a PDF ticket. (No actual printing will be done.)
On the PDF ticket, click “Stream Now” button. This will open a page in a web browser, asking for an “access code.” At the same time, the access code will be automatically emailed to you.
Check email inbox for the access code. This is a 6-digit alphanumeric code. (If no access code appears, please check your junk/spam filter.)
Copy access code into the access web page and click the “Next” button. This will take you to the video page.
Once an access code is used, it expires and cannot be reused. Each time you wish to repeat a viewing of the performance, you will need to follow these instructions from step 1.
What if I'm not available at the specific date and time of a performance?
Performances will still be accessible for two weeks following the official showtime. That's the magic of virtual!
Tickets may be purchased after the initial broadcast, but only through our box office. Please call 250 562 0800.
After you are comfortable with the access procedure, we recommend deleting all test emails and access codes to declutter your inbox and make finding the actual performance email easier.
Can I purchase a ticket for somebody else?
Yes! After purchasing your tickets, go to "My Live Streaming Tickets" in the TixHub menu, then click on the ticket you wish to give away to find a share feature.
Can I share my access code with a friend?
Each access code is usable by only one device. Multiple devices cannot share an access code.
On Which Devices Can I View A Virtual Performance?
Smartphones
Tablets (such as iPad)
Desktop computers
Laptop computers
How can I ensure optimum video and sound quality?
A hard-wired connection to the internet is generally more reliable than WiFi. (If you use streaming services such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, or Crave, your connection should be fine.)
Quality external speakers/headphones generally offer better sound quality than built-in speakers.
Can I view the performance on my television?
Yes, but it depends on how modern a television and your familiarity with technology.
The simplest method would be to connect your television to a modern laptop using an HDMI cable. (Ensure the television is on the corresponding input, and the laptop is set to project its screen.)
An HDMI cable can also be paired with an HDMI adapter to connect your phone or tablet to the television.
Check your local technology store for more guidance on which product is right for you.
